Kilmaine Primary School Supports ‘ShelterBox’

| March 28, 2013

Kilmaine SchoolThanks to the Staff and pupils of Kilmaine Primary School, ‘ShelterBox’ can be assured of more support for the excellent work done by the organisation, when disasters strike throughout the world, in future. Over two morning  assemblies before Easter, 600  pupils heard from Bangor Rotarians, Vice President Ian Wilson and Past President Raymond Boyd , how ShelterBox has saved thousands of people from starvation and exposure to extreme weather by providing replacement dwellings, kitchen utensils, cookers and other essentials of life, in the wake of  catastrophic disasters. A ‘Big Blue Box’, in which all these items are carried to all parts of the world, was on display for the pupils to see and touch.
