Corrymeela Youth Leadership Project

Byadmin March 4, 2025March 4, 2025
On the 19th of February 2025, Rotarian Ken Nixon, President of the Belfast Rotary Club 224/25, gave a short talk on Corrymeela  Youth Leadership Project  which is supported by the Belfast Rotary Club. Seeds of Hope: International Peace Leadership Academy is an international collaboration between the Corrymeela, Universities, Peace Organizations, and Rotary Clubs around the world. Later this year Rotary Partners will submit a 2025 application for a Rotary International Peace Global Grant.
“Being a Club based in Belfast city centre enables us to connect with the local Community, through service with YouthAction and Mitchell House, continuing our focus on peace and reconciliation projects and we also support key efforts to end Homelessness.”
The project works with marginalised young people from deprived areas.
Ken Nixon is director of the The Mary Peters Trust and a recipient of the Paddy Patterson Award which recognises individuals who have brought honour to the province and served Ulster sport with great distinction over a period of years.
