Rotarians and guests have celebrated 50 years of service by Rotarian Wilson Ferguson.
While Wilson has served Rotary for half of the time of its existence and was instrumental – along with Past District Governor Edwin Dunlop – in developing the successful Probus Clubs in Ireland, he never served as President!
A Paul Harris Fellow, Wilson was the last Club leader to be referred to as Chairman before the decision to change the title to President was implemented internationally in 1972.
After an introduction by outgoing President Gavin Walker, District Governor Garth Arnold congratulated Wilson on his years of service and thanked him for everything he has done for Rotary over the past 50 years.
