President Patrick welcomed Lynda Williams from the Alzheimer’s Society to the Club.
Lynda – who has been a dementia counsellor in North Down for the past 16 years – outlined the various different dementias and how they affected individuals.
As all of the diseases are progressive, Lynda recommended that everybody should register their Advanced Healthcare Directive and put an Enduring Power of Attorney in place.
