The Rotary Club of Bangor has been saddened by the death of our esteemed colleague and friend , Past President, and Hon Secretary John Gray.
John had over 40 years service as a Rotarian, was a Past President of the club in 1995/6 and went on to take the reins of President for a second time in 2006/7 when the club was undergoing a leadership crisis.
John was a courageous man, who despite the debilitating effect of his cancer treatment on his physical abilities, bravely continued to attend meetings, and carried out his role as Honorary Secretary (for the second time) until his condition deteriorated to the extent that he didn’t have enough strength to continue.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife , Kathleen, and his family at this sad and difficult time.
