Jane Morrice and President Ian Wilson were amongst the Rotarians who welcomed Johnny and Tommy Andrews to Bangor.
Comber’s Andrews Family visited Bangor Rotary in some numbers when father Johnny, son Tommy and cousin Jeremy outlined the influence the family has had on Irish history since the late 1800’s. From the United Irishmen to the Governments of Craigavon, O’Neill and Faulkner, the Andrews have been involved with politics at every level.
And their multi-generational involvement in the development of the linen, ship-building and distilling industries give them claim to being instrumental in the golden days of Northern Ireland’s industrial powerhouse.
