Success for Bangor Rotary Youth Leadership candidate

Byadmin January 18, 2022July 6, 2023

Patrick Davis (3rd from left) with other finalists and Diana Evans, President of Ballycastle Rotary Club at the Zone Final hosted by the Rotary Club of Ballycastle at the Royal Court Hotel in Portrush on Monday 17th January 2022

As the only Rotary Club within  Zone One to put forward a candidate to the final of the Rotary Youth Leadership Development Competiton this year, we are thrilled to announce that Patrick Davis – a student at Bangor Grammar School – has been successful.

As a result, Patrick (16) will join with other successful young leaders later in the year at two events in Belfast and Dublin.

Patrick initially impressed the Bangor Rotary interviewers with his understanding of world affairs, the role of Rotary and his own determination to succeed.

Patrick hopes to pursue a career in medicine and has already completed a number of webinars from the Newcastle University Medical School to help inform his choices.

A keen debater, a passionate member of the Combined Cadet Force, and a member of the inaugural Northern Ireland Youth Parliament, we are confident that Patrick will achieve all of his life goals and are privileged to have been a part of his personal development.

President Stephen and Past President Ian Wilson accompanied Patrick and his mother, Jill, at the Zone Final.
