Past President and Honorary Secretary Stephen Connolly was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship by President Gavin Walker at the recent Rotary Club of Bangor’s Christmas Dinner.
Introducing the Award, Gavin said “At Bangor Rotary we have a strong tradition of awarding our Paul Harris Fellowships to Rotarians whom we hold in the highest esteem. This Award is the highest we can offer in Rotary and only those who have achieved much both within the Club and in the local community are considered as recipients.
“It is a genuine pleasure and privilege to Award this Paul Harris to Past President Stephen Connolly who has held – and continues to hold – many leadership roles within our Club and is considered a leader within our community.”
Stephen has recently retired from his position as Head of Bangor Grammar School. ‘Brilliant Headmaster, caring and has genuine interest in the pupils. I have a lot of respect for this man and hav just finished seven years at the school.’ (anonymous comment from RateMyTeacher.com)
