Presidents Day Golf Competition preliminary details revealed

Byadmin March 10, 2016May 17, 2021

Pickie-Fun-ParkIt’s back to the future this President’s Day

We are now in a position to reveal the preliminary plans for President’s Day 2016.

In past years golf has been an important part of this Club’s history and this year we are reinstating its rightful place in our calendar.

While those who enjoy long walks might compete in the competition at Bangor Golf Club, on the afternoon of President’s Day, Friday 3 June 2016, all other members, family and friends are invited to join us in the Crazy President’s Golf Competition to be held on the exacting course at Pickie Golf.

This is 18 holes of well manicured greens and fairways with sand traps, hills, water and all manner of debris to challenge even the most patient golfer.

Please know that there will be valuable prizes to be won, not least of which is the famed Bangor Rotary Club Women’s Cup which has not been competed for for some years.

Finally, for the more detail minded players, this competition will be played using Stabledoor Rules – if you can’t hit a stabledoor then you probably shouldn’t enter!

More details will be made available in mid-March when you will have the opportunity to register yours and your family’s interest in competing.

Should you have initial questions, please contact President Elect Gavin
