At a recent evening meeting of Bangor Rotary, members learned about the burgeoning baseball scene in Northern Ireland as Neil Boyd highlighted the growth of the game and the difference between baseball and softball.
A major part of the US sports scene, Baseball remains a very niche sport in Northern Ireland, although the growth of the Belfast Northstars and Buccanneers teams – both based at Hydebank– gives the sport a promising future.
Bangor Rotarian, Andrew Young – a native of the US – is an enthusiastic team member and he is the contact for any Members who might like to have a go swinging the bat, or pitching from the mound
