Rtn Luigi Rossetti took main-stage at our meeting to tell us a fantastic story about the value of being a Rotarian.
It was based on his experience as an Air Italia station manager. While based in Africa he gave financial assistance to a refugee who was also a Rotarian.
Having written-off the amount, he was surprised when seven years later the man whom he had helped and who had emigrated to Canada where he had rebuilt his life, had the money – along with interest and a small gift – returned to Luigi.
A great humanitarian story.
