Rotary Meeting (Remembrance Day & Youth Leadership Winner Announced)

Not only are we announcing the Club winner of the Youth Leadership competition, but we are also inviting Probus members and our own friends to join us in a short Service of Remembrance followed by lunch.

12:40 Our lunch speaker is Rebecca Gordon who up to recently was World War 1 Project Officer in Ards and Bangor Borough Council. She has just taken up a new post in the Seamus Heaney Centre, Bellaghy.
Her topic is – local Bangor man, Rear Admiral The Honourable Edward Barry Stewart Bingham VC, OBE, who served in the Royal Navy during the First World War and was awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions in engaging the German fleet during the Battle of Jutland.
