Guest Speaker: Bangor and North Down Samaritans local chair, Wesley Wilson

Wesley joined the Samaritans in 2007, on retirement from the police service.  Qualified in 2009 and practiced as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist retiring 2016.

Joined Samaritans in Bangor, in 2007, as a Listening Volunteer, providing emotional support to contacts by phone, email, text and face-to face.

Also, a member of the Outreach Team which promotes awareness of the services of Samaritans and delivers education on suicide prevention in schools and other community groups.

Appointed as Chair of the Management Committee in 2016 with responsibility for governance, due diligence, compliance, fund-raising and maintenance.
