Rotary Remembrance Meeting

Today is our Annual Remembrance Event with guests from Probus Clubs across Bangor.

The  Bangor Rotary Annual Service of Remembrance will be held in Bangor Golf Club on Wednesday 9 November 2022 at 12.30pm conducted by President Margaret Francey.

Following the Act of Remembrance, at which our Honorary Member Morrell Murphy; three months short of his 100th birthday, will be taking part by speaking “The Ode of Remembrance”.

Lunch will follow consisting of soup and sandwiches, coffee or tea.

Catering costs are £7.50 per person and if members and guests were to pay £10 this would include gratuity for catering staff, with the residue, along with a retiring collection going to the Royal British Legion which has supported service men and women, veterans and their families since 1921, over a century.

We are pleased to have as guest speaker Mr Colin Burrows, MBE,M.Phil, BA, retired chief police officer.

In addition, two members from each of the local Probus Clubs will be invited to attend, as guests of the club.
