District Governor Kenny Fischer made the trip from his native Fermanagh to visit Bangor Rotary Club.
In the absence of the Club’s President Patrick who unfortunately was unwell, President-Elect Bill Aiken stepped in to welcome Kenny to the Club and give him an introduction to the work we have been undertaking this year.
DG Kenny spoke to members about the worldwide theme to ‘Create Hope in the World’ and the work of the District in supporting mental health locally and various international projects.
The District Governor also highlighted the upcoming launch of the Northstar Project with a goal of doubling Rotary membership throughout GB and Ireland by 2028 as well as the ongoing promotion of getting more Clubs North and South to be involved with the LendwithCare project.
After an exchange of gifts and banners, Bill thanked DG Kenny for his visit and wished him and his wife Betty a safe trip home.
