DG Phillip Beggs visits Bangor Rotary

imageBangor Rotarians were delighted to welcome District Governor Phillip Beggs of the Comber club on 20 August.

Phillip gave a first-class presentation highlighting the really superb work Irish Rotarians are doing in Kenya to bring clean drinking water to those lacking it nearby.  Phillip has been  to visit in person.

Closer to home he emphasized how much the Daisy Lodge project in Newcastle means to him.

This is a  residence  offers respite to families responsible for children with cancer.  Our club has resolved to contribute to this most worthy cause.

Accompanying Phillip was Assistant Governor and long-time friend of our club, Garth Arnold.
