On Wednesday 5 April 2023, thirty-three members, spouses and friends of Bangor Rotary Club travelled by coach to Dublin at the special invitation of Ossian Smith TD, Green Party for Dun Lahoire, to visit Leinster House, home of the Dail.
A very interesting tour of the public part of the building, including the Dail chamber, was conducted by two very entertaining guides followed by a splendid lunch in the members dining room.
During the lunch PP Bill Aiken expressed thanks to the minister for his invitation and provided some information about the history of Bangor and the Rotary organisation, followed by a presentation of a framed print of Bangor City Hall.
A great day was had by all and it is pleasing to know that the framed print is now hanging in a prominent place in Ossian Smith’s office!
