Mayor of Ards and North Down, Rotarian Karen Douglas, invited the Rotary Club of Bangor to hold a recent meeting at the City Hall.
After an introduction to the history of the building – including to the resident ghost(s) – members enjoyed a light lunch in the Craig Room.
The Mayor spoke to members about her year in office which ends on June 7th and referenced the incredible work of volunteers throughout the Borough who give of their talents and time to improve the lives of their neighbors without fanfare or recognition.
In thanking the Mayor for her hospitality, President Margaret presented her with a bouquet of flowers and hoped that as her onerous responsibilities as Mayor come to an end, she might bring her formidable skills and talents to the work of the Rotary Club.
