Bangor Rotarians recently gathered at Bangor Golf Club for President’s Handover Day – one of the most important days in the Club Calendar.
As the Presidential chain is handed from the outgoing to the incoming President, members have an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next.
President Margaret Francey – who had made history when she had become the Club’s first female President- thanked members for their support over the past 12 months. She welcomed Patrick as the new President but hoped that the chain would be passed to many more women in the future.
Incoming President Patrick Cregg previously served in the role during Covid when many of his ambitions for the Club had bee put on hold as meetings had been held exclusively on Zoom and all public-facing events were canceled. His return to the Presidency will give him the opportunity to achieve much of what he had planned previously.
Members took the opportunity to thank Margaret for her service and wished Patrick well for his Presidential Year.
During the meeting PP Stanley Smith congratulated Bob Jellie on his win of the monthly draw, and President Patrick presented Luigi Rossetti with a prize for the Guess the Money in the Box competition!
