Members of the Rotary Club of Bangor celebrated 80 years of local, national and international service at a Gala Luncheon held at Bangor Golf Club on March 18 2015.
Formed in the 1935, same year as the opening of Pickie Swimming Pool, the inaugural meeting was held at the Royal Hotel when 20 members gathered to enjoy 11 speeches from guests from across Ireland and Britain.
President Ian Wilson dug into the archives to remind members of the achievements of the Club during its illustrious history and extolled them to carry on the outstandingly good work for the next 80 years.
