All change at Rotary Club of Bangor

Byadmin July 6, 2016May 17, 2021

Gavin, James PaulPresident Elect James O’Fee and President Gavin Walker hands over the Past President Jewel to Paul Hatty

Paul Hatty took on the hallowed title of Past President today as he passed the President’s Chain on to Gavin Walker.

In turn, Gavin passed his President-Elect chain to James O’Fee who will move into the President’s chair in 12 months time.

Thanking Paul for what has been a whirlwind and successful year for the Club, Gavin outlined the strategy for the coming year saying, “For the next 12 months we will be working to serve the people of the town we all love and to raise their awareness of the value of the work the Rotary Club of Bangor does.

“Everything we do over the coming year whether it be as fund-raising, community service or simply enjoying ourselves, will be done with a focus of raising our profile within our community with a goal of encouraging more local people to get involved with the work we do at one level of another.”

The Club already has a full calendar of events including favourites such as the Charity Breakfast in October and the Car Ballot in November, and adding new events like the Schools Concert in April and the 5k Run at Clandeboye Estate in May.

In addition, a Business Speaker Series and full roster of interesting lunchtime speakers along with some outstanding social events, will make for a busy and fulfilling year.
