DESCRIPTION:Today is our Annual Remembrance Event with guests from Probus Clubs across Bangor.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe  Bangor Rotary Annual Service of Remembrance will be held in Bangor Golf Club on Wednesday 9 November 2022 at 12.30pm conducted by President Margaret Francey.\n\nFollowing the Act of Remembrance\, at which our Honorary Member Morrell Murphy; three months short of his 100th birthday\, will be taking part by speaking “The Ode of Remembrance”.\n\nLunch will follow consisting of soup and sandwiches\, coffee or tea.\n\nCatering costs are £7.50 per person and if members and guests were to pay £10 this would include gratuity for catering staff\, with the residue\, along with a retiring collection going to the Royal British Legion which has supported service men and women\, veterans and their families since 1921\, over a century.\n\nWe are pleased to have as guest speaker Mr Colin Burrows\, MBE\,M.Phil\, BA\, retired chief police officer.\n\nIn addition\, two members from each of the local Probus Clubs will be invited to attend\, as guests of the club.\n\nPlease make an effort to attend this important event in our Rotary calendar and bring along guest(s) if you so wish.\n\nFor catering purposes it is important to let me know\, as soon as possible\, if you are able to attend\, along with number(s)
