Bangor Rotary support Progressive Supranuclear Palsy
There is currently no cure for PSP, but research into treatment is continuing. With no government support, the association relies totally on charitable support.
It is estimated there are around 4,000 people with PSP living in the UK, with quite a few in Northern Ireland. However, it is thought that the true figure could be much higher, because it is hard to detect and many cases may be misdiagnosed. Average life expectancy from onset of symptoms is seven years.
